Description

Truffle hunting in Monferrato is an ancient art which is now part of UNESCO’S Intangible Cultural Heritage.
A rural tradition, known since the times of the Sumerians, founded on a symbiotic relationship between truffle hunter, truffle dog and the environment.
Truffle hunting at night is even more fascinating. The noises are muffled and the only sounds are the footsteps on the leaves and the commands given to the dog. The route unwinds between hazelnut groves, and you will be equipped with comfortable headlamps to lose nothing of this emotional experience made of ancient gestures completely immersed in nature.
At the end, inside an old historical residence in the Asti countryside, you will be welcomed by a typical Merenda Sinoira Monferrina (hearty afternoon snack of local Monferrato products) and receive the Diploma of Truffle Hunter as a souvenir of your adventure.

Note

Meet at Tenuta Il Capitolo, where the grounds will be used to conduct the truffle hunt by the Association Tartufai del Monferrato. The Tenuta will also serve an afternoon snack.

All year, except for May and from 1 to 21 September for the biological rest period regulated by the Piedmont Regional Authority.
