FOODOPIA MORE VALUE TO FOOD - COOKING COURSE IN VILLA ERA
The motto of Foodopia is "let’s improve the world starting from food!" because the healthier the Earth is the healthier the food it produces. The healthier food is the healthier we are.
From the guidance of chef Marta Foglia, expert in nutrition and food education, comes Foodopia, a place where health environment and food merge into a project of sustainable cultivation and dissemination. Nine hectares, a vegetable garden of 2500 metres in which the method of regenerative cultivation is applied, no chemicals just animals to support the natural cycle of plants and crops.
Experience day also includes the visit to Villa Era and activities: transformed into an elegant residence in the 1800s, surrounded by a magnificent garden which merges with the ancient amphitheatre-shaped vineyard. For more than thirty years, Villa Era has been home to the Eubiotica magazine and the ICARE centre (International Centre for Advancement in Research and Education), both pioneers in Organic Agriculture, Nutrition, Phytotherapy, Herbal medicine, Botany, Natural Medicines and in the practice of Yoga and Ayurveda holding conferences, seminars and courses with internationally acclaimed experts, professors and teachers specialised in the various disciplines. Its library contains more than 3000 books and publications.
Meeting in Villa Era in Vigliano Biellese: visit the library and thematic analysis of the products grown. Followed by picking of products in the field at Foodopia and cooking course in the Villa with aperitif using the dishes made. All accompanied by the wines produced at Villa Era, obtained from the natural cultivation of the grape without the use of chemical products.
