An itinerary to discover the most fascinating villages of the Borbera Valley with an e-bike route between breathtaking views and unique experiences.

Note

Set off from Cabella and following the right bank of the River Borbera climb the slopes of Mount Ebro and Chiappo between woods and uncontaminated nature to Cosola village of the Upper Borbera Valley at 950 m. The territories of the four Provinces are a few kilometres from the village. Continue to Capanne di Cosola and stop for lunch in a restaurant.
From Capanne di Cosola take the junction of Pian dell'Arma and following a dirt road arrive in Bruggi at the foot of Mount Chiappo (1700 m asl), a small gem set between the four provinces and in one of the most extensive pinewoods of the province of Alessandria:
From here, you can choose whether to head towards Pallavicino and stop off in Vendersi, the village of the scarecrows and return towards Cabella, or the more adventurous stop-off at Caldirola in the Upper Curone Valley. Here, in the historic bike park near the chairlift, it is possible to try downhill cycling on easy slopes for beginners or extreme slopes for experts.
Return to the Borbera Valley or possibility to stay in B&B close to the slopes to continue the downhill adventure (bike pass included) or to enjoy pleasant hikes on the Ligurian Apennines.
