Description

The Forteto WWF nature reserve of Luja in Loazzolo is the kingdom of biodiversity in all its beauty.
The air is blended with the earth's scent and the sweet fragrance of wild flowers, between colorful flowers and butterflies, rare orchids and pollinating insects. The heroic vineyards produce the renowned passito moscato, bearing witness to a perfect balance between man and nature.
Reaching Cessole, from the road you can admire the majestic double-height church. This is followed by the historic herbalist shop founded in the early 1940s by Teodoro Negro, a herbalist who graduated at the University of Pavia, an expert connoisseur of the properties and use of plants. It is a magical place, full of scents that are freed from boxes and vases full of herbs and flowers and where expert herbalists make precious preparations using ancient techniques.
The experience ends with the visit to the Church of the Assumption of Vesime; in the apsidal dome, under a fresco of the second half of the seventeenth century, surprisingly emerge traces of a late-Gothic fresco of a blessing of God the Father with globe.
