Imagine slowing down, breathing in the heady scent of the earth and feeling the warmth of the sun as it caresses the gently rolling hills, covered with neat rows of vineyards. This is much more than a simple day trip: it is an authentic, immersive experience that combines the knowledge and traditions of rural life with a deep sense of natural well-being.
Our journey begins at the CORILU' hazelnut farm, established in 2005.
For Stefano and Luca, and all the members of the producers' cooperative, hazelnuts are much more than a crop: they are a way of life. The co-op grows its own hazelnut trees and carefully oversees every stage of production, following the strict production standards established by the Consortium for the Protection and Promotion of the Piedmont Hazelnut PGI. Visit the production workshop where a delicious range of hazelnut-based specialties is created. Follow the journey from hazelnut to jar, with no unnecessary additives… just the authentic goodness of nature to enjoy.
After hazelnuts, our journey continues with other treasures of the land and nature at Antos Cosmetica in Ozzano, a workshop dedicated to natural cosmetics. Since 1988, under Gian Luca's guidance, this workshop in the heart of Monferrato has carried on a tradition of plant-based cosmetics that combines research, craftsmanship and carefully selected natural ingredients. From the choice of oils and active plant extracts, every product is designed and created here with care. During the Lab Live, guided by herbal experts and skilled craftsmen, you will learn how to blend precious oils, botanical extracts and organic butters to create your own personalized cosmetic product. A fragrant, authentic keepsake, handmade by you to take home.
To round off the experience, we recommend exploring the nearby village of Ozzano, where you can step back in time among historic streets and the fascinating infernot, part of the UNESCO World Heritage Landscape. The industrial archaeology exhibition and MiCeM are also well worth discovering and offer a valuable reminder of the area's past, linked to the extraction of raw materials for cement production.
