DOLCETTO ROAD (FEAT. FOOD AND WINE ROAD OF GRAND MONFERRATO)

01/10/2025 - 31/12/2026
2 DAYS / 1 NIGHT
Ovada
Between wineries and vineyards

Description
Dolcetto is a reliable and inviting wine, appreciated for its genuine nature. It transmits a feeling of home, stability and warmth, like an old friend you always enjoy spending time with: understated and no-nonsense, it is of a few words but elegantly forthright and profound.
And so, similar to Ovada, this Road is dotted with regenerating experiences in the tranquilizing nature of the Apennines between outdoor activities in the parks and the fresh water of lakes and torrents. Strong and resistant experiences, because this area speaks of Resistance through the mountain tales of grandparents which are listened to over a glass of wine or craft beer or a grappa discovered in a historic distillery. Experiences which transcend time like the numerous manor houses, evidence of the past, which, aside from a visit, offer incredible activities inside their walls or as aspiring pioneers in search of gold in the rivers.

You will have the opportunity to mix the wines to create your personal blend, balancing the proportions to obtain the flavor profile you prefer. This part of the experience will allow you to experiment and learn how different combinations of grapes can change the taste of the wine. Personalize the label with your name and take home 6 bottles of the wine you created. (Capriata d'Orba).
• Walk in the Park of Capanne di Marcarolo. Established in 1979, it extends for 8200 hectares from Piedmont to the borders with Liguria. From the Lakes of Lavagnina to its highest peak there is an extensive network of trails that will give you an unparalleled nature experience with breathtaking landscapes stretching all the way to the Ligurian Sea. The Park is home to the Shrine of the Benedicta which recalls the tragic massacre which occurred in 1944 and the Ecomuseum of Cascina Moglioni, valuable testimony to rural life. Hiking trails of various lengths and difficulty can be personalized with the park rangers and with our expert nature guides. Packed lunch / picnic included. (Park of Capanne di Marcarolo )
• The flavors of tradition, the formaggetta delle Capanne. This is a product that goes back in time connected to production in farmhouses and where the grass of uncontaminated meadows infuses its fragrance into the freshly milked milk. It is produced in a single farmhouse in an ancient hamlet of stone houses with the same passion for generations. Visit to the farm. Continue with visit to the Ecomuseum of Cascina Moglioni and lunch at the mountain hut del Gorzente. (Cascina Saliera)
