At an hour when the afternoon clouds shouldn't have formed yet, the view sweeps from the plains to the Maritime Alps and the Ligurian Sea. After collecting our gear at the refuge, after lunch we have a long but comfortable descent to Carnino Inferiore (1359 m), a tiny village with stone houses.
