 “Il Cantiere in Cantina – La Bottega del Gran Monferrato Autentico” is a project created with the aim of developing an integrated network connecting agriculture, tourism and local communities across the provinces of Alessandria and Asti. At its heart is the promotion of short supply chains and Monferrato's high quality agri-food products. The project brings together an extensive partnership of farms and agri-food businesses representing some of the area’s key sectors – wine, hazelnut, honey, meat and cured meat, cheese, vegetables and processed products - to overcome the fragmentation of the local supply chain and create a stable, structured and collaborative network.
The "paniere" experience offers tourists a slow and flexible way to discover the area in complete freedom. Travel at your own pace, using your preferred means of transport, driven by your curiosity as you explore the local landscape and meet its outstanding producers. An authentic and sustainable journey that allows you to experience the area on your own terms. With your branded “paniere” bag in hand for carrying the local products you pick up along the way, you will receive a list of participating farms and producers to visit (subject to advance booking and confirmation of opening times).
