Description

An evocative journey through the finest local agricultural produce and traditional specialties - much more than simple pleasures for the palate. These products are the purest expression of biodiversity, artisan dedication and local rural knowledge. This is not a story to be told, but an experience to enjoy with all your senses. Walking through nature and visiting local producers, discovering age-old traditions and uncovering the secrets of skills handed down through generations, means connecting deeply with the identity of the land. It is an invitation to rediscover the value of slow living, craftsmanship and a close connection with the land, where outstanding local produce becomes landscape, culture and unforgettable memories.

Far from being dominated by a single crop, the Monferrato landscape is a rich and living mosaic, shaped by the harmonious relationship between human activity and the rhythms of nature. Across this extraordinary patchwork of rolling hills, biodiversity flourishes in a delicate balance of historic vineyards, cultivated fields and hazelnut groves.
This variety is not only a feast for the eyes, but also creates a rich and resilient ecosystem where flora and fauna live together in harmony.

The Piedmont hazelnut PGI is one of the region’s culinary treasures and has earned worldwide recognition.
More than simply an agricultural product, the hazelnut is a defining feature of the local landscape, the expression of a centuries-old tradition and a prized ingredient in fine pastry-making around the world. Known as Tonda Gentile Trilobata, this exceptional hazelnut owes its distinctive qualities to a unique combination of micro climate, soil, favorable hillside conditions and dedication of local producers.

Alessandro and Sara Durando are passionate ambassadors of this outstanding local product, alongside the wines of the area, such as Grignolino and the "rediscovered" Ruchè. Carefully processed and roasted in the farm’s own production workshop, the hazelnuts are delicious in traditional cakes and biscuits, wonderfully indulgent in the farm's creamy spread – where it's pure authentic flavor truly comes to life – and simply irresistible at aperitif time, accompanied by a glass of Grignolino Anarchico Testabalorda. Why this name? To talk about agriculture in these lands is to tell the story of strong and resilient farmers, the quiet guardians of a rural heritage which risked disappearing, but also innovators thanks to advanced farming techniques and sustainable practices with respect for the environment and human well-being
